Firedoglake has been raising money to pay for investigative blogging by Marcy Wheeler since April. Since then, nearly $90,000 has been raised by nearly 1,500 people, an amazing show of support.
Wheeler Khas written front page stories for The New York Times and livebloged the Libby trial.
The goal is to raise $150,000 to support Wheeler, another investigative blogger to work with her, and a researcher to help them. All the money donated on Firedoglake will go directly to those efforts.
