ABC News’ Rick Klein reports that $18 million in additional funds are being spent to redesign the Recovery.gov Web site. The new Web site promises to give taxpayers more information about where their money is going than the current version of the site.

What would you do if you had $18 million to redesign your website?

I’m curious as to what are the new features that warrant such a price tag? Granted, designing such a website because of it’s intricate information probably can’t be designed for free or by a high school student, but $18 M? Way too much. Is the designer related in some way to the site owners or maybe a good friend? :)

Eighteen million US dollars? That’s -what?- about 360 journalist jobs right there? Imagine more than three hundred journos writing about the recovery! Even if it was just for a year. Sighhhh.

Got something to say?
