The Huffington Post has launched a new feature called “Social News” using Facebook Connect. Social News “aggregates Huffington Post stories that a given user’s Facebook friends have recommended or commented on, and shares the user’s Huffington Post activity on their Facebook profiles in turn,” CNet reports.

Worldwide spending on Internet advertising shrank for the second consecutive quarter, by 5 percent in the second quarter of the year, to $13.9 billion from $14.7 billion, according to research firm IDC, which expects a similar drop in the current quarter.
