In naming Elizabeth Vargas and Bob Woodruff co-anchors of an expanded version of ABC News’ flagship broadcast “World News Tonight,” ABC News announced that “World News Tonight” will produce a live daily Webcast anchored by Vargas and Woodruff, beginning Jan. 3.

The Webcast will include a brief update of the day’s top stories with a preview of that evening’s “World News Tonight” broadcast and will air live on ABC News Now, ABCNEWS.com and will be distributed wirelessly. This marks the first time an evening newscast has produced a unique program for the Internet audience.

“Now we will be making that news available to Americans throughout the afternoon and evening to those who want it over computers, mobile telephones and the countless other digital means,” ABC News President David Westin said.

On last nights World News Tonight with Charles Gipson, there was a report about a family on Staten Island, NY with a salary of less than $30,000 per year and a mortgage of $335,000. I could hardly believe what I heard. If this mortgage was with zero interest and with expenses of taxes, insurance, utilities, food, clothing, transportation, and medical expenses and raising three children they would not be able to make it. Whatever happened to common sense and personal responsibility? Maybe Charles would like to comment further on this report. Thank you.

The Debates last night were so pooly monitored the I wished the both candidates had sais and insisted on elevating the questions to some level of relevance for Pa, votors. I nstead of both Candidates affirming that they will pull the troops out regardless have them deal with wy and the repercussions. Same with taxes. Huge issu. The first hour was a waste and the moderators seemed to demeen the magnitude of the potential President while pulling them down into petty muck.
Am embarressing waste of time for us working t get the vote out.
