What makes you think the firm really cares what the public thinks? They usually dont. I had the experience of working inside a contractor here in Arizona for a couple of years about three decades ago, until Udall blew their cover. They still operated in the shadows and denied it.
But, their attitudes were rock solid. We’re here, we take orders, no matter what, this is who were are, this is what we do, we may not agree with what we do today, tomorrow, or the end result, but, if these are orders, then, by holy h(#))#), we carry out the mission and do it.
These guys were all middle aged men with brush hair cuts, high blood pressure and bad hearts. Some were a bit over the edge, but While I was there, they had a larger purpose in mind.
A few died. They are a necessity. Don’t think so? Ask any Russian who lives here now.
Many of the folks from “the Company” will look on how the populace “feels” and nod, murmur, and continue on. We are not safe, otherwise.
