AP allows sites to upload and monetize video

January 11, 2008 · · 1 Comment

MediaPost reports that The Associated Press has a new tool for news sites to upload and monetize their own video. AP affiliates can now control a “Local” tab within their AP video player and fill it with their own video using a Web-based uploading tool developed by Microsoft. The service is designed to attract local viewers and advertisers, which are both responding well to relevant content like high-school sports, local events, and breaking state news.
