Update: After reports Tuesday that Rupert Murdoch, the chairman of the News Corporation, says he expects to make access to The Wall Street Journal’s Web site free, a top Dow Jones executive told Editor and Publisher the comments were premature.

MemoryWiki
Marshall Poe of The Atlantic Monthly and his students at American Univeristy have started a very cool project to gather memories online, MemoryWiki. The site has only been up 2 months and is growing rapidly, Poe says. So far there are more than 430 memoirs in MemoryWiki.

Curbside@WTO
University of Hong Kong students are "live" blogging the WTO conference in Hong Kong this week. In a unique partnership, the students are working closely with "The Standard" newspaper on this.
They've produced a site called Curbside @WTO, which combines blogs and feature stories contributed by journalism students from the University of Hong Kong, journalists from The Standard newspaper and EastSouthWestNorth blogger, Roland Soong. Curbside's goal is not only to inform and entertain readers on the events surrounding the WTO, but also to explore the potential of online journalism.
