Help redesign the Seattle Center

The Seattle Times is inviting readers to help design the Seattle Center of the future. The paper is soliciting ideas and says city officials are interested in the ideas and may incorporate them into a blueprint that will guide Seattle Center redevelopment over the next 20 to 30 years.

Got something to say?
I recommend combining Key Arena and Memorial Stadium such that there is enough floor footprint to enable indoor football and two basketball courts. With this design high schools could utilize the Arena far more efficiently introducing young people to the Seattle Center. AS they grow up they will be more inclined to return and bring their families to the Seattle Center as they will have been introduced to it at a young age with favorable memories. The present plan utilizing Key Arena and the Bank of America Arena for the 3A High School Basketball Tournament is terrible … especially when the same school has both boys and girls in the tournament. The Tacoma Dome is utilized for many State sports tournaments for highschoolers … a combination indoor facility with the same potential in Seattle would be GREAT!! Thanks for reading . . . Ben
