Universal Hub started life as Boston Common - a Weblog that tried to capture the best writing from the hundreds of bloggers in the Boston area. In early 2005, Adam Gaffin and Steve Garfield decided to try to extend that, into an alternate news and information resource for the Boston area - one written and edited by the people who read it.
Using the powerful Drupal platform, we're doing everything from aggregating the latest blog posts from around the area to creating a "front page" that brings you the best of it all. But to succeed, Universal Hub will become a portal of neighborhood-specific news. It starts with postings categorized by neighborhood. It gets even better when YOU report the news - or post your reactions to the news. Something happening in your neighborhood? Go out there with a digital camera and share the news!
