ASNE: Blogs, with strengths and weaknesses, gain
Jonathan Dube, MSNBC.com managing producer and publisher of Cyberjournalist.net, has created a blogger’s code of ethics that attempts to address the problems. Modeled after the Society of Professional Journalists ethics code, it urges for transparency in blogs.“Responsible bloggers should recognize that they are publishing words publicly, and therefore have certain ethical obligations to their readers, the people they write about, and society in general,” according to Dube.
