		<description>I like this and wonder if The Times knows that this change will do more than drive traffic to its site; it will identify new sites that users might be less familiar with.  I&#039;m not talking about The Boston Globe, The LA Times and their cousins.  I&#039;m talking about more specialized blogs and special interest publications. 

If you trust the NY Times, you will give credence to the sites a staff member chose to include.  Google News might aggregate articles but this holds the promise of putting more human intelligence behind the aggregation.  The economic question is whether the revenues for this site will sustain the human staffing behind it.</description>
