Mercury News, 2 local TV stations partner

The San Jose Mercury News has formed a partnership with KNTV (NBC11) and its sister station, KSTS (Telemundo 48). The 11 p.m. newscast on NBC11 will now give a preview of stories in the next morning's paper, and reports from Nuevo Mundo, the Mercury News' Spanish-language weekly, will air on KSTS's 6 p.m. newscast each Thursday and Friday. As part of the deal, advertising space and airtime will also be exchanged.
