Faces of the Military

As part of a special online project, The Dallas Morning News is "attempting to go beyond the numbers and feature members of the U.S. military, in their own words and images." The newspaper's site asked military members and their families to send in photos and "comments and greetings -- to your family and friends back home or to your loved one in the armed forces." The result is a great searchable database of "Faces of the Military." Also check out WXYZ-TV's "Faces From the Front," a similar but non-searchable collection of photos and bios of Detroit-area soldiers sent abroad that were collected from viewers and posted online.
