Doonesbury.com becomes part of Slate
In an unusual partnership, The Doonesbury.com Web site has been folded into Slate, a deal that CBS MarketWatch says brings an established comic strip to a pure-play Web site for the first time. Garry Trudeau's strip will become part of Slate's opinion coverage, and the Web site will be titled Doonesbury@Slate. Trudeau calls it "a natural fit in the Slate environment" and Cyrus Krohn, Slate's publisher, says, "Trudeau and his style of writing just fits very nicely with the Slate opinion mix." 3 comments about 'Doonesbury.com becomes part of Slate'If Trudeau's $10K offer in the strip for confirmation of Bush's Guard service is intended seriously, then, where are the details? If it is not intended seriously, then, where is the disclaimer? If the "offer" was a joke or hoax, then I believe it to be in poor taste, 'way below Trudeau's usual standards, and not funny at all (even though I oppose Bush deeply).

How about a reward for pictures of Bush's classmates, those he branded with a coat hanger. If this election is about "values", such picture's would be worth many thousands of words.
