StockScouter beats the market
Some of the best features created by online journalism sites are the tools that actually help their users. For two years now CNBC on MSN Money's StockScouter stock-rating system has beaten the market -- with the benchmark portfolio gaining 36.34 percent from July 2001 to June 2003, while the S&P 500 fell 20.41 percent. Now that's a useful tool!MSN Money columnist and key StockScouter contributor Jon Markman recently won a 2003 Gerald Loeb Award for Distinguished Business and Financial Journalism in the "News Services and Online Content" category.
