Gopnik's Spin on 'Gyroscope'

Washington Post art critic Blake Gopnik takes readers on a lively video tour of "Gyroscope," a reinstallation of the Hirshhorn's permanent collection on view for the next six months, in anticipation of the Hirshhorn's upcoming 30th birthday. This is an excellent use of video on the Web to show -- and explain -- a three-dimensional exhibit. And Gopnik does an outstanding job of leading the tour, especially considering he's a print reporter. It would have been nice if the Post had included a slide show of the art pieces fleetingly shown and discussed for readers who would have liked to linger on the images.
