WBUR.org: 'Vote by Issue'
WBUR.org, Boston's NPR affiliate, developed a useful "Vote By Issue" quiz for last year's gubernatorial election by asking the state's five candidates for governor to explain their positions on 10 issues. Users who take the quiz select which of the positions most resemble theirs and then get a record card showing which candidate's positions they most agree with.Robin Lubbock, director of new media for WBUR, told E-Media Tidbits' Laura Ruel that the interactive got about a quarter of a million page-views. "We were looking for a way to stand out of the way and let the users understand the election issues on their own," said Lubbock, who added that the station plans to repeat this approach for the next presidential primaries and election.
