Senate votes to reverse new media rules

The Senate passed a resolution to roll back the FCC's new media ownership rules. On Sept. 3, a federal appeals court in Philadelphia temporarily blocked the rules from taking effect the next day, as scheduled, and now the court is scheduled to hear oral arguments Nov. 5. Several legal challenges to the rules from broadcasters and consumer groups are pending.
