CQ to launch Politics Daily newsletter

Congressional Quarterly will be launching a daily e-mail newsletter Nov. 3 called CQ Politics Daily that will track all of the key political developments in the 2004 campaigns for the White House, Congress and state governors' mansions. It will not be free to subscribers of the magazine, however, but instead be a separate subscription, at $199 a year. This is clearly aimed at the insider niche and will probably be successful on a small scale just because of the thirst for everything politics -- assuming CQ puts enough exclusive information in the newsletter.
