Election Night on a shoestring -- blog-style
The Oswego Daily News, a small newspaper in New York state, used a Weblog format to cover elections Tuesday night very effectively. "This may not be a big deal, but I think it's an example of how little guys like us can use simple tools like weblogs to fight the big boys on election night," Managing Editor David Bullard writes in to CyberJournalist.net. "We put two reporters (as in, "all of our reporters") into the field, covering the two major cities in our market. I stayed in the office, posting updates Weblog-style. We get strong traffic from it, many kudos from readers, and the satisfaction of doing something no one else can do."Nov 04, 2003 | E-MAIL | SAVE | PRINT | PERMALINK | DISCUSS(1)
