L.A. Observed gets the scoop
Check out L.A. Observed, a relatively new blog about Los Angeles launched in May by Kevin Roderick, a contributing writer at Los Angeles magazine and a former senior editor and staff writer at the L.A. Times. When the Los Angeles Times ordered its reporters to stop describing anti-American forces in Iraq as "resistance fighters" -- saying the term romanticizes them and evokes World War II-era heroism -- L.A.
