Fox News adds free video
Fox News becomes the latest major media outlet to offer streaming video of its TV programs for free online. FoxNews.com joins MSNBC.com and CBSNEWS.com in offering advertising-supported streaming video. CNN and ABCNews.com continue charging for subscriptions (which appears to be paying off for ABCNEWS.com, at least).FoxNews.com hasn't ruled out charging in the future. "We may go down that road in the near future, but at this point, that's not what we're going to be doing," said Bert Solivan, general manager at FoxNews.com.
It'll be interesting to see which model ends up winning out for video online -- or if there's room for both models.
