Students' Wireless Election Connection
Seven teams of journalists from the University of South Carolina are enveloping the Columbia, S.C. area today to report on the primary using mobile imaging phones provided by Cingular. "These multiple-media journalists will continuously capture and upload by mobile phone hundreds of digital pictures, video-audio shorts and text summaries to this special mobile Weblog hosted by TextAmerica," the site says. Check out the Wireless Election Connection. A neat example of the how student work can make an impact, and how photo phones and technology can be useful to journalists. (An example of how technology is not foolproof, judging by the upside-down photos published!)
