Webcam Captures Breaking-News Event
"At SignOnSanDiego.com yesterday, a remote-controlled webcam was able to quickly capture an image of a breaking story, a downtown tortilla factory on fire," Steve Outing reports on E-Media Tidbits. "It's not an especially compelling image, but far better than the usual webcam fare. Content manager Ron James, who alerted me to the photo, says the controllable webcams also have been used for such events as parades, naval ship homecomings, and the building of San Diego's new ballpark."
