WSJ.com's new Today's Paper page
The Wall Street Journal Online has rolled out an enhanced version of its page summarizing what's in each day's newspaper, making it much easier for online subscribers to "flip through" the site and especially for print readers accustomed to the print layout to find particular stories online. Unlike most online news sites, which only list headlines from the front page online or force users to click through multiple pages to see what's in the newspaper, In
Today's Paper is one page on the site where all of the articles from that day's print Journal can be found online. The page lists all the print headlines and the section front articles include short summaries written by WSJ.com's online editors.
WSJ.com has also added time stamps in the What's News column of
U.S., Europe and Asia home pages, to indicate the intra-day timing of new articles on the regional home pages. Time stamps are a good way for online news sites to remind users that a site is updated 24/7.
