Could a blog win a Pulitzer?
Sheila Lennon and J.D. Lasica point out that The Providence Journal and projo.com are reportedly finalists for a Pulitzer Prize in the Public Service category, the only category that may include an online component -- and The Station Fire Blog is part of the entry. Assuming the reports are right, this would be the first blog to be part of a Pulitzer finalist package and the first one with a shot at winning.
(projo.com's package was inducted into CyberJournalist.net's Great Work Gallery last year, by the way)

Unfortunately, no. The Pulitzers are a newspaper prize and online entries are only accepted as part of larger entries in the
Public Service category. Perhaps the committee will revisit that sometime soon.
