BBC's camera phones capture news
CyberJournalist.net reported in November that the BBC was giving 3G phones to its reporters and producers. Last week, the network had the first shots of a deadly bus crash in Wales when a camera-phone-wielding producer arrived on the scene ahead of the traditional cameras, Forbes.com reports. The video phones were also on duty during President George W. Bush's recent visit to the U.K. So far 40 of its reporters and producers camera cell phones that can record and send video, and the BBC plans to distribute 40 more.
