'Ethical danger could arise'
Clyde Bentley, an associate professor at the University of Missouri's journalism school, says a serious ethical danger could arise with technologies like IntelliTXT, which highlights keywords in news stories and links them to ads.
For example, if an editor or publisher could tell a reporter to "'rewrite the sucker so it's got more words in it that show up to our advertisers,'" Bentley said, "that could be pretty serious."
