Adventures of Seinfeld, Superman and The Subserviant Chicken

Two great, interactive ad campaigns show how to make advertising that isn't just a distracting, but content people want to read. And they also are good examples of online interactive storytelling.

American Express's Adventures of Seinfeld & Superman (directed by Barry Levinson, who won an Oscar for directing Rain Man) attracted millions of viewers and boosted credit card sign-ups as much as 25 percent.

Subserviant Chicken lets readers tell an animated chicken to jump, fly or lay an egg. It may not make you want to each Burger King's Tendercrisp chicken sandwich, but it certainly raised awareness, as more than 400,000 people visited the site the first week, according to Nielsen/NetRatings.
