Olympic video, interactives from IBS

For the first time this summer, video of Olympic competitions will be posted online, Lost Remote reports.

NBCOlympics.com, which is being built and run by Internet Broadcasting Systems, already includes several good interactives explaining how some of the competitions work.

Check out this game explaining the complex scoring of Olympic boxing: You be the judge.

" Rather than do a long Britannica-like explanation, we turned the scoring process into a game," IBS's Rex Sorgatz says. "Playing the game involves watching segments from actual boxing matches in real-time and trying to identify punches, just like an Olympic judge would do. Then you watch the videos again in slow-mo and see where scoring punches landed. One of the effects of the game is that you quickly realize how unbelievably difficult scoring boxing really is."
