Latimes.com's electoral vote tracker

Here's a fantastic interactive from latimes.com that shows what the polls say now in each state and offers readers an interactive map to test their own scenarios. Click on a state to mark whether you think Bush or Kerry will win it and the interactive calculates the total number of electoral votes nationwide and who would win under that scenario.

The package also links to a Flash map from their Tribune colleages at the South Florida Sun-Sentinelshowing the complete history of results for U.S. presidential elections.

Plus here's a detailed look from the Latimes.com at how the candidates are doing in the latest polls in each state.

Here's an interactive MSNBC.com did during the 2000 campaign with a similar concept: Play Electoral Chess by reading descriptions of the political climate in all 50 states, choose who you think will win each state and then the interactive adds up to see who would win nationwide.
