Average Joe Columnist: Reader

The St. Paul Pioneer Press is holding a clever competition: 16 amateurs are participating in "Average Joe Columnist," a writing competition that ends with the winner writing a live column from a Twins game this summer. The project does a nice job of integrating the Web and print -- readers can vote online for their favorite columnist.

I'll agree that it's clever -- just not original. The folks at the PP "borrowed" the idea from us (http://www.startribune.com/stories/305/). We finished our second season of Joe Fan last Vikings season...
