Murrow, National Press Club awards

The two major traditional media awards that have online categories were announced this week.

The 31st annual National Press Club journalism awards competition gave its Online Journalism Award for best site to MSNBC.com and the Online Award for distinguished contribution to Seattletimes.com.

The Edward R. Murrow Awards, presented by the Radio-Television News Directors Association, were given to the following Web sites:

• News 14 Carolina, Charlotte, NC, www.news14charlotte.com

• Capital News 9, Albany, NY, www.capitalnews9.com

• Washington Post, Washington, www.washingtonpost.com

• Belo Interactive, Dallas, www.AldiaTx.com
