Online election coverage ideas
Susan Mernit has some good suggestions for innovative ways online news sites could enhance their election coverage:
Team with Technorati or Feedster to include links to bloggers comments on stories
Team up with Topix to provide a more complete index of local news stories related to election topics
Team with a large blogging service to create local citizen/journal reporters who can moblog local campaign and election events
Team up with an RSS newsreader to offer a customized and branded newsreader customized with political feeds

A great spot for online election coverage ideas is http://www.theworldspeaks.net - it's a portal for all the online initiatives in the US and abroad that focus on US foreign policy and cross-border dialogue in the elections.
It's really rather amazing how the world has come together online to try and influence the US vote.
