CNN.com to blog convention

CNN.com, the site that last year said "We do not blog" because it prefers "to take a more structured approach to presenting the news," is going to launch its own blog to cover the convention, as well as a "BlogWatch" feature.

For "BlogWatch" CNN.com will offer up-to-the-moment review of numerous Web logs covering the convention, in partnership with Technorati.com, a leading monitor of blogs.

CNN will offer its own convention blog on CNN.com with updates from Candy Crowley on the platform and from CNN anchors, analysts and correspondents, including Crossfire's James Carville and Tucker Carlson.

The site also promises "hundreds of live and exclusive online reports from more than 30 anchors, correspondents and analysts using some 30 cameras in and around the Fleet Center" -- that's a lot of content!
