Tribune convention blogs read more than news stories
In case anyone doubts the growing importance of Weblogs on news sites: Chicago Tribune blog entries from the Democratic convention were more popular with online readers than news stories, according to the Tribune's Eric Zorn.
Whoa.
The Tribune ran blogs from Zorn, Ellen Warren and Charlie Madigan.

1 comments about 'Tribune convention blogs read more than news stories'Thanks for this headline about blogs outdoing websites. In fact, the more like this the better! It gives me more ammo to fire at those who look down on blogs - if they even know what they are.
I work part-time doing bulletins for regional AIDS NGO in the middle of nowhere (south pacific islands) and set up a free account at blogger. I explained all the advantages that I have read about - mostly through your outstanding service - to the NGO CEO. Blank incomprehension. I was asked to delete the blog because they are developing a 'real' website.
Since then, stumbling around in cyberspace, I found javascripts that read headlines from RSS etc for those 'real' websites. So, as with so many other things, it is not so much a case of which one is better but how best to marry the two together.
So that newbies can have their old school websites and us cybos (including ones like myself who spend the first half of the day looking for a wing and a prayer) can indulge ourselves, and our audiences benefit both ways!
