NYU's Jay Rosen to blog Republican Convention for Knight Ridder
NYU journalism professor and PressThink blogger extraordinaire Jay Rosen will be blogging the Republican National Convention for Knight Ridder. Rosen will be a contributing writer for Knight-Ridder's Washington bureau, credentialed to cover the event for them, working out of their space in the Post Office building, across 8th Avenue from Madison Square Garden. His blog is called, Sky Box. (He'll be blogging for PressThink too.
Rosen got the gig after running into an old friend who works for Knight Ridder at the Democratic Convention (where Rosen was a credentialed blogger) and striking a "handshake deal."
Just as for the Democratic Convention, a team of 4-5 Knight-Ridder journalists will also blog the convention. Knight Ridder will be putting up a page that links to all the blogs before the convention begins.

Can you say, jokes that play like a-bombs on Hiroshima and Hagasaki? How wrote the speech for these girls?? They tried to deliver it well, but the craters the jokes left in the convention hall in New York are cavernous!
And Arnold, don't get me started, he was nothing more than a bad B-movie lead! The only person that I believed delivered a heart-felt speech was Laura, she is a nice lady, a teacher, a life-long librarian, nothing exciting, nothing earth-shattering, but a loyal, steadfast, work-horse for her husband.
All the republicans on the floor are nothing but cardboard cutouts. Everything was scripted tonight, and most horrendously embarrsingly bad!
