NYU's Jay Rosen to blog Republican Convention for Knight Ridder

NYU journalism professor and PressThink blogger extraordinaire Jay Rosen will be blogging the Republican National Convention for Knight Ridder. Rosen will be a contributing writer for Knight-Ridder's Washington bureau, credentialed to cover the event for them, working out of their space in the Post Office building, across 8th Avenue from Madison Square Garden. His blog is called, Sky Box. (He'll be blogging for PressThink too.

Rosen got the gig after running into an old friend who works for Knight Ridder at the Democratic Convention (where Rosen was a credentialed blogger) and striking a "handshake deal."

Just as for the Democratic Convention, a team of 4-5 Knight-Ridder journalists will also blog the convention. Knight Ridder will be putting up a page that links to all the blogs before the convention begins.
