Howard Stern gets wired
Howard Stern wants to expand his Web site to be "the largest infrastructure known to the internet" so that if he gets kicked off the air, his fans can still hear him. Great f****** idea Howard!
"With the site, we won't have to rely on terrestrial radio when the FCC finagles a way to get us thrown off the air because they put too much pressure on Viacom and all the other companies we work for," Stern told his radio audience.
"...I want to take the home page and turn it into a daily magazine filled with graphics, audio, video," he said. "I have to hire a staff, a guy to run the company and I want to turn this into ... the crown jewel of the Internet."
For starters, Stern is partnering with Movielink to offer uncensored versions of his E! television show for download ($4.95 for a single episode show and $6.95 for a double episode show).
