'Yes Virginia' online
The Newseum has posted a special online exhibit featuring the New York Sun's famous editorial 'Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus.' First published in 1897, Francis Church's response to the inquiry of Virginia O'Hanlon has become the most widely reprinted newspaper editorial in U.S. history. Along with a transcript of the column, visitors to the site can view the original clipping as it appeared in The Sun more than 100 years ago.
