Blogger traffic soars due to tsunami

Traffic to Blogger.com leaped 73 percent (to 1.3 million unique visitors) in the week after the tsunami hit Asia, according to Nielsen//NetRatings. Traffic to news sites leaped too: The New York Post's traffic climbed 31 percent to 733,000 online surfers; traffic to CBS News' site soared 28 percent to 1.1 million unique visitors; traffic to Forbes.com jumped 26 percent to 775,000 unique visitors; and traffic to Time Inc. publications' jumped 22 percent to 1.4 million online surfers.
