Yahoo launches ads for blogs
Yahoo's Overture has begun offering contextual ads for blogs, creating a competitor to Google's Adsense. And as Micropersuasion's Steve Rubel points out, this can only be good for bloggers, as it will help create competition and thus is another step in the direction of creating viable business models for blogs.
By the way, congrats to Steve for being one of seven bloggers named to the The Media 100 (PDF) - Media Magazine's annual list of the people "to know" in the media world. That seven made the list certainly is another sign of the rising importance of bloggers.
