Ed Viesturs' ultimate climb: videos, photos and satellite dispatches

Mountain climber Ed Viesturs made history today by successfully completing the treacherous climb to the summit of Annapurna in Nepal, the first American to summit all 14 of the world's 8,000-meter peaks without the use of supplemental oxygen. On a special site on MSN Travel, viewers could experience American mountaineering history as it unfolded. A media crew at base camp fed stories, videos and photos for use in the coverage through technology provided by Cisco Systems. Cisco also provided Viesturs a satellite phone to call in dispatches along the way and provide his view on the challenges of the climb.
