Buzz, blogs and the election

The Pew Internet & American Life Project and BuzzMetrics examined the impact of online buzz on the national agenda during the 2004 presidential election. The analysis suggests, among other things, that bloggers served as a sort of guide for the mainstream media to the rest of the Internet.

The point is that finally blogs have the public that they need and people with opinion is writing now. I live in Brazil, and when blogs appeared, it was a crap! Just imagine lots of diaries together and many teenagers writing shit! Now the blogs are used to spread news and opinions. Better now. =)
