Experimental digital storytelling tool
Dan Gillmor reports that HP has developed a new tool called StoryCast, which HP describeds as "an experimental digital storytelling service that lets people use their camera phones and other mobile devices to easily create and instantly share stories with friends and family. Each story consists of a sort of narrated slide show of photos accompanied by the storyteller's voice."
Here's a nice video demonstration of the tool (Windows Media)
A tool like this could make it a snap for citizen journalists -- or any journalists, for that matter -- to produce and publish narrated slide shows from the field.
