Globe and Mail makes online content free during strike
When some Globe and Mail customers in Ontario were unable to get their newspaper Thursday due to a labor protest at a printing plant, The Globe made its entire online news site, globeandmail.com, available for free for the day. The newspaper said it wanted to "ensure that Globe readers have full access to the contents of today's newspaper." Usually columnists and other select content are available only to online subscribers.
