Kristof Wins Michael Kelly Award
Nicholas Kristof has won this year's $25,000 Michael Kelly Award for his New York Times columns denouncing genocide in Sudan and sexual exploitation in Cambodia, according to Atlantic Media Company.
Kelly was killed while covering the Iraq War in 2003. A former editor of The Atlantic Monthly and National Journal, he was writing for The Washington Post at the time of his death.
In addition to his columns for the newspaper, Kristof has produced some amazing multimedia features for nytimes.com. You can see them all here -- if you've haven't looked at them, you should. They're quite fabulous.
