The blogger and the ban
The American Journalism Review looks at how a blogger helped the public get information about a Canadian corruption scandal hearing while Canadian media's hands were tied by a publication ban. Eventually, the judge lifted the ban. "Although his order makes no reference to it, surely [the] blog and the public reaction to it were factors in his decision," AJR writes.
