1,200 people sign up for citizen journalism photo agency
A new online photo agency aimed at helping citizen journalists find a market for their work has signed up 1,200 people since launching last month. Amateur photographers can sign up for Scoopt, which now has members in 35 countries, at Scoopt.com. The company will attempt to sell contributed photos to a newspaper, magazine, news organisation or other publisher and split the proceeds 50/50.
