CBSNews.com redesigns

CBSNews.com has launched a redesigned site that is wider and puts much more emphasis on video. The site is now 1024x768 wide and includes a prominent "Only on the Web" features box on the home page and a large embedded video player in the right column of the home page and story pages whenever there is related video.

Every page feels like there's a lot more content on it than on most news sites. The navigation is horizontal at the top, freeing up the left column for a slew of related links and the right column for the large embedded video player.

Michael Sims, the site's Director of News and Operations, says CBSNews.com will be "tinkering with the site and adding more
features in the next few weeks."
